- Concert :
Nous y revoilà ! Un peu plus d'un an après Barcelone, le premier concert de ce troisième leg.
Pour la première fois, je me suis abstenu de suivre les répétitions, pour pouvoir apprécier au mieux les changements, ne me faisant pas trop d'illusion sur un
bouleversement de la setlist (on est toujours dans le 360° Tour).
Premières impressions : pas déçu, loin de là. Pas mal de bouleversement surtout pour la première partie du concert, avec en prime deux nouvelles chansons inédites !
Bon autant North Star est pas inoubliable (et puis l'accoustique pour présenter une nouvelle chanson je suis pas sur que ce soit la bonne solution), autant j'ai
vraiment bien accroché sur Glastonbury !
L'intro est elle aussi assez pêchue, même si l'enchaînement avec Beautiful Day aurait pu (dû) être plus rapide et fait retomber un peu l'excitation. Pour le
reste, pas mal de chansons de No line sont passées à la trappe dont la chanson éponyme et Unknown Caller. En revanche, Until the end of the world retrouve sa
place et le lightshow est tout simplement énorme, sans conteste le meilleur moment du show. Miss Sarajevo est toujours un plaisir à entendre et j'ai eu un peu
peur qu'elle replace The Unforgettable Fire, mais heureusement non. Un petit regret tout de même, puisque Bono s'est amusé à nous faire un petit snippet de
Discothèque durant Crazy, ce qui à mon sens condamne une version complète sur ce leg du moins (dommage).
Et alors que le show s'acheminait vers la fin, Hold Me est venue remplacer Ultraviolet. Cette dernière est une de mes préférées, mais très sincèrement, Hold Me
a beaucoup plus de force et convient parfaitement pour une première chanson de rappel. Je pensais vraiment pas l'entendre et encore moins sur cette tournée, ça
a été une bonne idée de la ressortir des tiroirs.
La tournée commence bien, en espérant que ça en soit de même pour Francfort.
- Son :
Bon, en arrière scène... j'espérais pas des miracles même si le stade était pas trop grand. J'étais légèrement sur la gauche de tribune sud, heureusement au premier
rang. J'ai donc pu poser les micros sur la rembarde devant moi et les orienter au mieux vers les enceintes.
Pas trop de public, c'est déjà bien. Le son du groupe est lui plus brouillon, et la voix a du mal à ressortir. Il y a de l'écho, plus ou moins présent.
Un son bon, histoire d'avoir un souvenir mais pas inoubliable.

This was recorded from outside the Olympic Stadium and I must say it wasn't as easy as you would think.. I really had to stand/sit still for over an hour to make sure I had a clean feed.. only moving a couple of inches was giving a lot of interference already.. you can hear it in the first song (which is only space oddity), but after that it's almost clean. I was sitting on my suitcase and people were walking by all the time and looking at me like I was a visitor from outer space or something. I wasn't too happy with that, but it was for a good cause.. hope some of those 'passers by' will remember it and have a listen to this.. anyway, I hope you enjoy it.. might have some more but hope some others will upload some nice IEM stuff as well.
Thanks to Peter Goode for helping me getting some equipment from the US. Also thanks to the owner of the Edirol (I forgot my own recorder unfortunately)
It wasn't really a spectacular rehearsal, but sound quality is amazing I think...
this will fit on 1 cd, in the file names you may see p1 and p2, but that's because the original files were split in 2, in the middle of 'streets'.

This is more or less an addition to my previous upload. Monday night (2 august) they focused on the first part of the setlist, there was no Stingray yet, Beautiful Day was meant to be the opener. Tuesday they did Stingray and Beautiful Day a couple of times and after that they were going ahead where they stopped the night before.
Only one IEM recording showed up after my previous upload, it's a shame that others don't want to share their stuff.. it's the best thing you can do!!
