    Notes:
I didnt expect much from this recording, based on my position inside the inner circle. I was directly in front of the Edge and copped quite a lot of his guitar amps in the spill. I ended up so close to the stage i decided to go for the concert vibe and visual position over recording position this time. But it turns out the recording is better than i had hoped, with more Bono vox being captured in this recording than i heard at the time. Perhaps this is down to my new rig/mic combo, the mics being directional [cardioid] which helped a lot. Also the front of the stage underneath has some nice speaker arrays which help with sound kinda coming "from everywhere" when you are up the front, including off the stage and from the top stacks. A few dropouts at the very start unfortunately, i was busy messing with my new preamp.

Edge seemed to have big problems with his guitar this nite...specificially with this wireless rig. He changed mid-way through at least 3 songs for a guitar from Dallas that was plugged in (corded). You can hear the guitar stop at the start of Bad for instance, another guitar change to one that was plugged in the ole-fashioned way. Maybe there was some radio interference all nite on his side.

Bono worked hard, dripping with sweat all the way. "Bad" was a highlight...with some more passion than usual from Bono in the vocal department (he didnt cop out on the high notes which was a nice change) and even some extra added adlib guitars from him.
