    Taper DeRosa

Recorded with OKMII-R Pro Binaural In-ear mics/Nomad JB3 Recorder at 44100hz/wav. Transfer to Hard Disc via USB.
Location: just right of mixer tent.

Please don't remaster this unless you really know what you are doing and have pro gear. If so - please contact me via U2Torrents and I'll send you the master.

    Other Taper Notes:
Was stood to left of 2 fans in wheelchairs and their helpers, which meant that the right channel is a very clean source as I had more space around me there.
Left channel was slightly marred by people close to me - claps, clicks, shouts etc... but not much. I've been able to eliminate the few seconds that were spoiled by copying from right channel.
There is some of the usual level fluctuation/flutter which makes outdoor shows so hard to tape. But on the whole I'm pretty pleased with this.
I only took the recorder along in case nobody else got a good recording - but I don't think there'll be a better source than this.

I've run it through some discrete processes to boost sound.
I copied the original track to 4 seperate tracks in Audition.
First track was EQed to highlight bass, and run through some Bass specific compression
Second track was EQed to percussion, and run through drum-specific compression
Third track was EQed for mid tone guitar/vocal and run through some compression and enhancement/widening
Fourth track was left as is.

4 tracks were merged via mixer to get a fuller sounding result, without having to resort to reverb or excessive compression.
Final result was run through Harbal EQing and mastering software, Normalised and left channel was "repaired" in Sound Forge (worst clicks removed etc).
Right channel was left as is to mask any artifacts click removal might leave..
Finally tracks were split in CD WAV

Am aware there are some strange sounding high tones in the percussion. These are on the original recording too and not a result of my tinkering.

Tracks marked # have some issues I couldn't do anything about but that you might only notice with headphones.
